Savannah is built around more than 20 charming squares, each with its own personality and set of shops, restaurants, and historical sites. A few of our favorites were Pour Larry’s for a to-go peach sangria, The Georgia Tasting Room for wine and cider tastings, and Congress Street Social Club for an outdoor lunch off the beaten path, and Savannah Bee Company for testing out hundreds of honey products. This is the first city where I’ve taken advantage of a hop-on hop-off trolley tour-consider me sold on this style of site-seeing! Savannah’s small size made it perfect for walking in between a few stops, taking time to explore, and hopping back on when we: 1) needed a break from the heat and 2) wanted to hear more details about a certain area. Whether you’re spending a week or a just a few hours, here’s a few Savannah spots that sold me on this charming city. The bulk of my Georgia vacation was spent on the uber-relaxed Tybee Island, but the 36 hours in Savannah were enough to make me want to come back for more. Ever since my first trip to Savannah and Tybee Island a few months ago, Georgia has indeed been on my mind.
